A Woman, Interrupted
Interrupted, but still becoming
There was a time in my life when I thought strength looked like silence. I thought surviving meant carrying everything quietly, smiling through exhaustion, and figuring it all out without asking for help. I became the dependable one. The strong one. The fixer. The nurturer. The woman everybody leaned on while I quietly unraveled behind closed doors.
A Woman, Interrupted is not just about heartbreak. It is about disruption. The kind that changes the trajectory of your life without your permission.
It is about navigating motherhood while carrying emotional weight no one could see. It is about trying to maintain professionalism while your personal life is collapsing in real time. It is about loving people who lacked the capacity to love you correctly. It is about abandonment, disappointment, betrayal, exhaustion, survival, and the complicated grief that comes from realizing you spent years pouring into people who rarely poured back into you.
There were seasons where I felt emotionally homeless while still showing up for everyone around me.
I have been the woman trying to hold together a household, a career, children, responsibilities, expectations, and appearances while silently questioning how much more I could carry before something inside of me broke. I have experienced the loneliness that comes from being needed but not truly supported. I have experienced the frustration of being called “too much” only after being pushed beyond my emotional limits.
But somewhere in the middle of the chaos, I also found pieces of myself.
This space is not about pretending I have all the answers. It is about honesty. It is about documenting the moments that shaped me; the beautiful ones, the painful ones, the messy ones, and the moments that forced me to rebuild from the inside out.
Some stories will make you uncomfortable. Some will make you feel seen. Some may sound painfully familiar.
This is for the women who kept functioning while falling apart.
For the women who had to become resilient long before they wanted to.
For the women learning that survival and healing are not the same thing.
This is my life in fragments.
Interrupted, but still becoming.
